The commitments of SEW USOCOME
The RFAR label aims to differentiate French companies that have demonstrated sustainable and balanced relationships with their suppliers.
It is the only label in this area awarded by the French public authorities.
This label is awarded for a period of 3 years, subject to an annual verification by one of the approved bodies by the company mediator (attached to the french ministry of the economy) and the Conseil National des Achats (CNA).
The label's framework is based on the following areas and assessment criteria:
- Commitment and governance of the organization in a sustainable procurement approach
- Conditions of the supplier relations quality
- Respect for suppliers' interests
- Integration of social responsibility into the procurement process
- Impact of procurement on the economic competitiveness of the ecosystem
The RFAR label validates the alignment of procurement with the company's CSR strategy and attests to the quality of the tools used to manage the sustainable procurement policy (PDF) .
This voluntary approach enables us to assess our degree of maturity and encourages us to implement action plans to keep on progressing.
To measure our performance, we have set up a number of label indicators, such as monitoring the average invoice payment time (which was 27 days for the year 2023) or monitoring our suppliers' dependency.
We also pay particular attention to promoting work with adapted companies or Labour Support Institutions and Services, and compliance with the obligation of vigilance.
This label enables us to facilitate and support dialogue with suppliers, to pursue a CSR approach through purchasing, and to use it as a lever for competitiveness.
